Nurture’s Latest Road Trip: JPMA

Last week we traveled to Orlando, FL for the JPMA annual meeting to show off Nurture by Imalac and see what the baby industry has in store for the next year. The Juvenile Products Manufacturers Association (JPMA) meeting is a four-day event that is known as the industry’s only combined baby and children’s product conference, trade show, and consumer baby show all in one! Imalac was honored to be selected as a JPMA Innovation Awards Finalist and had an amazing time networking on Industry Days, as well as meeting future Nurture backers on the New Parent Days. We combed through the floors of the JPMA show to discover the most popular trends for babies and parents this year, and here’s a few of the highlights:

We met the two hilarious best friends and social media stars, Cat & Nat, who have a blast leading an entire community of moms. Can’t forget the team at Twiniversity who definitely rocked the house on karaoke night! Additionally, other baby and parenting specialists, health experts, and mompreneurs stopped by our booth to learn about Nurture.

Get ready to see cool, creative content coming from Imalac because we learned all the secrets from Head of Studio at Scary Mommy, Michaela Birmingham, who led a great seminar at the show! The Imalac team also attended a panel focused on the What to Expect app, hearing that now 90% of TTC and expectant mothers are using the app as a way to connect with other moms.

Thanks to a JPMA sponsor, Baby Center, we also got to see new trends spotted in baby registries (Spoiler alert: Amazon isn’t the only game in town!)  We saw some really innovative, useful gadgets and gear while at the show, including some of our finalist peers from the Innovation Awards. One of our favorites was the WAYB Pico Travel Car Seat, an ultralight and portable forward-facing, five-point harness car seat for kids ages 2-5. You can visit the WAYB website to read more about its design made with aerospace-grade aluminum and breathable mesh. It even has a compact frame and folding seat that fits in a small carry bag!

We are now back at the office getting ready for the launch of Nurture this Summer and are excited to continue building relationships in the industry and community. To see more images from JPMA and to stay informed on Imalac, follow us on Instagram, Twitter and Facebook.
