Imalac is pleased to announce the appointment of Maria Riccobono as Vice President of Sales and Marketing.
In Maria’s new position, she will lead Imalac’s marketing and brand strategy by developing and executing strategic plans that promote sales growth, drive revenue and position Imalac as a leader in the med-tech industry.
“We are thrilled to have Maria be a part of the Imalac team. Her broad experience in sales, strategy and marketing, coupled with her high energy level are a winning combination that will be a tremendous asset to our company,” said Noreen Sablotsky, Co-Founder and Chief Executive Officer of Imalac. “We also believe Maria’s experience in a highly competitive market such as the healthcare industry will bring new perspectives to establish Imalac as a leader and pioneer of breastfeeding.”
Maria comes to Imalac with 20 years of experience, where she has held senior roles in managing and leading teams across a variety of verticals in the healthcare industry, including Pharmaceuticals, Medical Devices and Consumer Packaged Goods. Her experience spans from large, multinational corporations, like Covidien and Pfizer, to small, seed-stage startups, such as in her most recent position as the Director of Business Development & Brand Partnerships at Tespo, a company that created a high-tech vitamin dispenser for transforming powdered nutrients.
“Imalac is a company of game-changing innovation and has already established an engaged fan base of nursing moms. With growing momentum in the breastfeeding category, there is a big opportunity for Imalac to capitalize,” says Maria. “I’m excited to join this amazing team of women and deliver comprehensive go-to-market strategies that positions Imalac as a market leader while bringing new customers to the brand.”
In addition to her professional experience, Maria is on the Board of Directors for Kevin’s Song, a nonprofit organization whose mission is to end suicide through awareness and education. As a mother herself, Maria is familiar with the challenges of being a working mom while trying to nurse her children, an experience and understanding that will provide valuable perspective on Imalac’s initiative to help women meet and exceed their breastfeeding goals.
Imalac is preparing to launch Nurture, a breast massage system for nursing mothers that provides gentle compression to replicate hands-on pumping.
